I was the forgotten girl.
I've been used and discarded, I've got nothing left.
I'm exhausted and emotional.
I'm numb from the pain, although it still stings a bit.
Then you came into my life..
You took away all the hurt
You made me happy again
Even made me feel better about my self
You protected me from what i've been hiding from my entire life.
It's funny how just one person can change your whole outlook on life.
*Edit: Yes, it does not have to be in a romantic sense*

It is indeed ironic that one person can change your entire outlook on life. Not even just in a romantic/dating sense, but just the whole picture – each individual we meet could potentially change our outlook on things, motivate us, persuade us, or deter us from things we were meant to be had we not co-versed with them originally.

Your piece feels like it could be a song because of how much emotion it holds; with the proper singer behind it, it could really twist your heart in knots. Lovely job, mate, and I hope that whatever compelled you to write this piece is not as calamitous as your piece reads. Regardless if it is or not, remember that everything life throws at us is simply another testament to our book of achievements and things overcame. :huggle:

There is such conviction in these words. Even though I don't know you personally - I am still happy for you. It is hard not to be. A genuine and emotional poem. Thankyou for sharing it.

Indeed. A friend...a...sister, so to speak (not actually related), would say this is a lot like her experience with me. Who says this has to be strictly romantic?...
